Okay. I thought maybe this week someone would post earlier, but I guess we're all still waiting for someone else to do it. I'll do it again because I beat everyone to it.
Which sounds better to all of you?
- A diner-style breakfast of black coffee (you can use cream if you must), eggs, toast, potatoes and other assorted greasy spoon items as suggested by Jorry in conversation last week
- My unchosen suggestion from last week of Eggs Benedict
- A continental breakfast of assorted bagels, muffins, etc.

In the spirit of front-loading one's carbs, I'm proposing a light breakfast fruit salad, that I suspect would go well with eggs benedict. And, the absence of fruit from all of our previous banquets has been conspicuous. I am proposing a Honey Fruit salad I found online that includes bananas, blueberries, strawberries and rasberries topped with a honey, lemon juice and poppy seed dressing. It's light, sweet and delicious. Let me know what you think. Ray

That sounds absolutely wonderful, Ray. I'd really enjoy a fruit salad, and just the idea of the dressing is making my mouth water. And it does sound like a good match for eggs benedict. You've got my vote.

As one of the DWH with a smaller appetite than most, I believe the fruit salad plus a meal might be a little heavy. So, since it seems that we're already leaning the direction of lighter fare this week, why don't we just say:
Fruit Salad (ala Ray)
Scones, bagels, or muffins.
Healthy cold cereals
Coffee (whatever variety we desire)
I'll be happy to provide the Goat's milk for coffee and cereal, as well as the coffee.
Everyone's thoughts?

My original vote was for the eggs Benedict. But I would be happy to pick up some Ezekiel muffins and some all natural jelly to go along with them. See ya, Sam

I will bring bagels
12:15 PM
I can bring some(healthy)cold cereals

Geesh. Now everything appears to be taken. You snooze you loose.
There's a chance that I won't be able to make it to the breakfast this week because I may be going to Cleveland to see my sister's new house for the inspection, which may be Saturday.
However, if I do attend, I'd be happy to bring some spreads for the bagels and muffins (like peanut or almond butter and maybe some hazelnut spread). I can't think of anything else and don't think we need scones on top of English muffins and bagels.

And Ray, if you need some fruit for the salad, I'd be happy to provide that, too.
