Hey, gents. A little birdie mentioned earlier this week that he'd really enjoy another round of blintzes, and I had to agree. What do you think? Are you up for more cheesy, fruity, pillowy yumminess?
If you, too, are jonesing for blintzes, I'd be happy to make the crepes again. I still have some eggs at my place from the last time we met here, so I can bring those for the filling, as well.
We'll also need goat's milk ricotta for the filling and some fruit for the topping. I can't remember what went into the filling because I wasn't in charge of that, but Ray would know. He was, after all, the filling maker and pillow assembler.
If you want potatoes or something of the like or an entirely different entree altogether, I'm sure we'd all be open to it. Pipe up.

Sounds like a great idea to me. I have to say that this was one of my favorite dishes so far. I'll bring the potatoes. I look forward to getting together again. See ya, Sam

The basic ingredients for the filling read something like this:
1 8-oz. package cream cheese
1 pint ricotta cheese
2 egg yolks
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
I'm sure we modified it a bit to make it a bit more natural, but I can't remember exactly how we did that. The goat ricotta should be easy to obtain, but the cream cheese ... maybe we could go with some horizon farms??

Sounds like a good plan, I can bring the 1 tablespoon of sugar for sure and I will get on the teaspoon of vanilla, (seriously though I am not sure what else is going to be needed but I will ponder for a bit on what I can bring, suggestions welcomed)

Great, guys! It sounds like a plan. Jorry, you could bring some frozen fruit for the topping. How's that sound?

I do love an old Jewish favorite. Jerry Stiller aside, I also love a good blintz.
Sounds like we have most of the bases covered, but in case you don't remember, we didn't use cream cheese last time, just goat's ricotta. If someone supplies that, I can contribute the maple sugar and coconut oil.
Also, there's a chance I may be a little too tuckered to attend due to this week's battery of tests. In which case, I'll be certain to notify you in advance and give someone the Maple Sugar so the blintz building can go on.
Anyway, love the idea. Can't wait to indulge the taste buds yet again.

Why don't we plan on having the brunch at my house so we won't have to scramble to relocate and notify people if Jeremy's too tuckered out to attend? I'm just trying to remove the burden in any way I can. What do you all think? I can promise the entertainment of a couple of crazy cats.

I've procured 3 pints of goat ricotta for the blintzorama. I'm also prepared to bring Ezekiel bread for toasting - both sesame and raisin. Hope you're feeling better J ... Ray
