Hello my fellow breakfast aficionados. I had a thought on what to prepare for our next get together. This one being a baked French toast casserole. I found several different recipes for this entree and finally got it narrowed down to one. Like our other dishes this one can be made with all natural and organic ingredients (bread, cream cheese, eggs, milk, half-and-half, maple syrup and vanilla). The recipe does require that it be prepared the night before and set in the fridge overnight. If this does sound like a winner I can whip it up Friday and have it ready for Saturday. I know we have a good supply of chicken sausages on hand that can go along with this dish. Let me know your thoughts and any other suggestions. See you soon, Sam

Sam (and fellow breakficionados) ... Sounds like a good suggestion. I'll give it my nod. In fact, I have some whipped cream cheese from Trader Joe's - not sure if it's organic or not. And, I can stop over on Friday to assist, or we can use my place as well. Also, I received in the coffee (and aprons) from Cafe Du Monde. One more thought on last Saturday's breakfast .. I thought the sweet potatoes were pretty good. I am suggesting that we do those again. See you on Saturday. Ray

I like the way you're thinking, senior Samuel, and I applaud your excellent suggestion, but after last week's calorie dense and sugary delight, I'm wondering if maybe a more sensible and low sugar meal might be in order. Some of us have to watch our cholesterol levels, which means that we have to put a little distance between our sweet tooth indulgences.
So, maybe we could reserve your recipe for a future meeting of the mugs. Perhaps another week or two?

Sure, we can hold off a week or two before we give the French toast casserole a try. Perhaps Jorry's suggestion would make a good selection for this weekend. Sure does look and sound great. If hashbrowns seems like a good sidedish to everyone I could shred a few pounds for us. See ya, Sam
