Hi everyone. It's getting close to that time again. I'd like to suggest the French Toast casserole for this weekend if that sounds good to the group. It does have to be prepared the night before so I can get it ready Friday and have it all set to throw into the oven Saturday morning. I was thinking some type of fruit topping or maple syrup might be good top this dish off. Perhaps some kind of potato would go good with this also. Let me know what your thinking and any other suggestions there might be. See you Saturday.

While I'm a huge fan of French toast normally, I'm trying to cut back on sweet items. However, because I'm only one of several group members, if the group wants it, I'll just have to make an exception for a day.

If others are in the same position I am, perhaps something simple like omelets would be a nice return to our Saturday breakfast roots. For that, we'd need eggs of course, chevre, goat mozzarella, and maybe some pesto or sun dried tomatoes.

With either dish, potatoes would be delicious. I'd be happy to provide them. Also, I have some chevre at home that I'll gladly share.

What do you all think?

Hmmm ... I'm not sure what to think. I generally lean toward omelets, but I don't know much about the FT casserole. I'm going to attempt to stock up on the sun-dried tomatoes and pesto, and I'm sure we'll use them either tomorrow or at an upcoming gathering. Ray
