Hi everyone. I was thinking about something simple this week. How does French Toast sound to everyone along with our favorite hashed browns or home fries? Here's the ingredients: 3 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla, optional
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
10 slices bread
If this does sound good I can bring the bread and eggs. What do ya think?

I just wanted to comment on how much I enjoyed breakfast club today. It all started with Ray's perfectly cut home fries. Then It was Jay's wonderful Frittatas. Then it was all topped off by some of the most wonderfully compiled playlists imaginable! Lets just say...."Niiice..."

So, I was just wondering if anyone had given any thought to the breakfast. I am not sure what I want. I just thought maybe this post would get the creative juices flowing.

I'm going to be missing this week's culinary celebration. I'll be in Lakewood at my sister's. But I'll be thinking about you all. Be sure to send me a picture of the yumminess that ensues. That will make my day.

Hola, fellow breakfast aficionados. I don't know about you folks, but I really enjoyed those homemade egg McMuffins we had a couple months ago.

So, due to such a fond memory, I propose a revival of that very same meal for this week's dish. We could even try a scrambled egg variation if we so desire. I can provide the following:

  • English Muffins
  • Eggs
  • Cheese
  • Coffee
  • Carrot-Ginger muffins
  • Goat's milk

Needed ingredients:

  • Sweet potatoes- for either Jorry's famous hashed browns or our usual home fries.
  • Organic Ketchup
  • Turkey Bacon
Also, Brian and Tracy will be in town this weekend as well. I should be able to attend breakfast as usual, but there is small chance that I may have other duties to attend to. This being the case, I think it best to gather at either Elissa's house (should she agree to host) or another volunteered location.

The floor is open for any thoughts or rebuttals. Gracias.

My fellow early morning munchers Listen up close!

I am sitting here at Susuans coffee shop pondering what would be a great breakfast idea and I think I am experiencing "brunch block" that ugly step child of writers block. I cannot get soup off of my mind, I do love soup. If only there were a breakfast soup hmm does cerial count? NO NO that will not do. It just doesn't have the spirit of soup...hmmm I am going to go and goolge "breakfast soup" and see what turns up, be right back....

....ok well apparently I am not crazy and such things do exist, AMAZING. Well here they are, take a look.

The first is a traditional classic mans breakfast in the form of soup off course. It's called "Breakfast soup Aka Bacon and Egg soup" It is not for the faint of heart or for the cardiovascularly challenged due to the bacon but I am sure we could clean it up.

The second is a little more light and fruity, for the health conscience soup lover on the go it is called "Fruit and Raisin Breakfast soup" . It features many fine fruits and I have no doubt it will smell incredible with the simmering that goes on. We all know how sometimes we don't know what to bring, well worry no longer. The ingredients list will provide ample opportunity for everyone to bring something. (ps. The picture is completely unrelated to the recipe but I couldn't resist throwing it up)

Last but not least is a little oriental children's favorite called "Congee" or "rice" , it is the most popular breakfast in China (Gary I know you love it already!) It is a breakfast soup that could also be called a rice porridge. I figure we could spice it up with a lovely array of fruit and whole grain goodies. If it is good enough for that thief Goldilocks, why not us.

Well I realize this is a bit wild and crazy so if you completely hate the idea I hope you at least enjoyed the post, I tried to have as much fun with "breakfast soup" as I possibly could. Well I am anxious to hear your thoughts.
