Hey, gents. Any ideas for this week's breakfast? I was thinking a good old diner-style breakfast of eggs (prepared to your liking), turkey bacon or sausage (we still have a few patties left in my freezer), homefries and toast. How's that sound to all of you.
My sister will be in town this weekend, so I thought I'd invite her to join us. Do you guys mind?
If this menu sounds good to you, we'll need more eggs, some bread and turkey bacon/sausage. Sam, do you still have the potatoes you bought last week?

Hey all ... I'm great with Elissa's traditional breakfast idea. She beat me to the punch though - I was just getting ready to post by "Oatmeal Bar" idea. It's simple, but I think we could nail it. A large crock of old-fashioned simmered oatmeal. Then we set up various accoutrements such as blueberries, maple sugar, raisins, etc. in small side dishes. Then we could each customize a bowl of our favorite oatmeal.
Maybe we could combine the Oatmeal Bar with Elissa's eggs, turkey bacon and toast, and skip the potatoes this week. Let me know.

I think everyone knows that I'll have company in this weekend, but more importantly, I've been rendered mostly incapacitated by my HBOT. So, given my present circumstances, the safe bet is on my not attending breakfast this week.
I'll keep checking the blog though, just in case I find the energy to make it, so that I'll keep in stride with the outlined shopping list and such.
If I am indeed absent, enjoy a plate for me. And please, have some honest fellowship that's worthy of the cornerstone on which Das Waffle Haus is built.

I'll still bring the potatoes just in case we decide to go with them. Will also bring some bread and eggs. See you all Saturday.

Ray, I like the idea of the oatmeal bar. Let's plan on it. I have some dried bing cherries and apricots and figs, as well as almonds. And, of course, I have the group's syrup to add in, but no maple sugar. See you guys tomorrow at my place. I'll text with a time.

I like the old fashioned breakfast/oatmeal bar combo. I will bring eggs, maple sugar, and some raisins.

It looks like we may need some turkey bacon also. I will swing by Cindy's and pick some up.
