Diner Booth

So, breakfast this week? What to suggest? My creativity, as suggested by the last few times I've posted ideas, is nearly tapped out. I need a creativity transfusion. I'll check out some magazines and see what I can come up with, but something raw would be good. I've been feeling really exhausted after our breakfasts lately because a lot of the stuff we've been having sits really heavy with me. Does anyone else feel that way? Suggestions?

Expect another post this evening or tomorrow morning. Until then . . .

I don't have a complete breakfast idea yet, but I am still working on it. I do however have an interesting condiment that might go well with a toasted bread product. It's Maple Spread from my acquantance, Jonas Gingerich. Just picked it up today. His wife makes it in large batches ... it consists of maple syrup, milk and butter all whipped together into a spread. It tastes great and might compliment the right meal.

Hey, gents. Any ideas for this week's breakfast? I was thinking a good old diner-style breakfast of eggs (prepared to your liking), turkey bacon or sausage (we still have a few patties left in my freezer), homefries and toast. How's that sound to all of you.

My sister will be in town this weekend, so I thought I'd invite her to join us. Do you guys mind?

If this menu sounds good to you, we'll need more eggs, some bread and turkey bacon/sausage. Sam, do you still have the potatoes you bought last week?

Good morning all - Just thinking a bit about breakfast, and had a suggestion to share. One word: Pancakes. We have a fresh lot of maple syrup that's just begging to be consumed. And, I have a large supply of Hodgson Mill's Buckwheat Pancake Mix - stone ground since 1832. Then of course, we could add a side dish such as sausage. What do you think???
