Breakfast this week, anyone? It should be a lovely day for a get-together. I'm proposing, yet again, oatmeal or some other hot cereal. I've really got a hankering for it. That's right. I said hankering. If I'm driven to such silly language, I must really, really want oatmeal or oat bran, etc.
Does anyone else have anything else in mind?

I haven't had a good bowl of oatmeal in some time. I could go for that. How about some English Muffins and jelly to go along with it?

How about those little packs of oatmeal you dump in a mug and add hot water to? I've seen the variety boxes at Giant Eagle ... I'd be glad to pick them up. Ray

I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend this week's breakfast yet. As most of you know, I have family in town and my schedule is contingent upon their every whim, so I'll have to play it by ear. I'll keep you posted via text though.
Maybe someone should post what we're eating so that we can at least prepare.

How about toad in the hole. Are you familiar? It's just pan-toasted bread with a whole cut in the center. An egg is cracked into the hole and fried. Sound good? It sounds simple, and that's really all I have the energy for.

I can picture the Toad-in-the-hole. It sounds pretty good. I may have to skip breakfast tomorrow, or at least be late. I had some significant car problems this evening, and had to get "toad". So I'm going to have to address those in the morning. I'll be in touch. Ray

I liked your suggestion of oatmeal, that would be fine with me. If we don't do something about it soon, you're going to keep using words like hankering. However, I would be fine with toad in the hole also

Ray, I'm sorry to hear about your car trouble. Is it getting to that time where a guy's got to start car shopping? I think I speak for everyone when I say I hope you can make it.
